Welcome to the Pet Photography

This week’s blog ring topic is Soft. There is nothing softer than a beautiful kitten. They look at you with their beautiful, soft eyes and snuggle up in your lap with their wonderful purring. These are some of the kittens who have been adopted from Georgian Triangle Humane Society in Collingwood.
Next in the blog ring is Elaine Mueller Tweedy of I Got the Shot Photography in Northeastern PA.. Keep going around the blog ring until you end up back here. Happy Friday!

Beautiful kittens!  Definitely perfect for a “soft” theme!  Love the last one with the pink bucket and jewels!  ReplyCancel

Wow – these are fantastic!  I love them and you have given me some great ideas on how to photograph kittens (I am not sure if I can get a cat to do this!).  I have a few baskets, I have access to a few kittens, I’m going to give this a try – did you put blankets or towels inside the bucket or blanket to make it softer?ReplyCancel

Yes, I use pillows, towels or blankets so they are high enough in the baskets. Also it makes them more comfortable. You have to work fast and have everything set up since they don’t stay still for long. I use a tripod for this. You could try with an assistant first.ReplyCancel

Kitties in buckets?! I never thought to do that for my local shelter, but I love what you did here! The softness of their fur and those sweet props are too cute. I’m sure these pretty kitties will be adopted in no time!ReplyCancel
