Wow – these are fantastic!  I love them and you have given me some great ideas on how to photograph kittens (I am not sure if I can get a cat to do this!).  I have a few baskets, I have access to a few kittens, I’m going to give this a try – did you put blankets or towels inside the bucket or blanket to make it softer?ReplyCancel

Yes, I use pillows, towels or blankets so they are high enough in the baskets. Also it makes them more comfortable. You have to work fast and have everything set up since they don’t stay still for long. I use a tripod for this. You could try with an assistant first.ReplyCancel

Kitties in buckets?! I never thought to do that for my local shelter, but I love what you did here! The softness of their fur and those sweet props are too cute. I’m sure these pretty kitties will be adopted in no time!ReplyCancel

As a nurse, I had extensive experience dealing with death and helping families work through their grief. However, nothing could have prepared me for the overwhelming sadness I felt when my goldendoodle, Elijah slipped away from me. I am hoping that these tips will help others dealing with this devastating experience. 1. Work with your…

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing nine chihuahuas from New Mexico at the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. They have all been adopted and this is their wonderful story. The Christmas Chihuahuas have arrived! Don’t miss Joanna’s letter! Last week the GTHS received nine Chihuahuas from New Mexico. All of the dogs had been slated…

This week I volunteered at a fundraising Pet Photography Shoot at the Petvalu, Wasaga Beach in support of the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. The way this young boy is hugging his dog frames him with his arms and demonstrates the bond they share. Next check out different interpretations of our topic, “frame it,” starting with StinkDog Photos in…
